The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohammed Al-Badawi, said he and the member states have no knowledge of a $300 billion reconstruction package for Iran. He added that neither he nor any GCC country has received any information about such a proposal.
Al‑Badawi explained that the details of the alleged package—including its source of funding and intended beneficiaries—are unknown to the council.
He also stated that the GCC is prepared to invest in Iran or any other country if normal diplomatic relations are established, and that the council is ready to discuss ways of mutual cooperation and aid.
