Iran has conveyed sharp messages to the United States through intermediaries over the past two days, according to an Iranian source. Tehran views both the U.S. effort to create an alternative shipping route that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz and recent American attacks as direct threats to the memorandum of understanding between the two sides. The source added that Iran is considering suspending technical negotiations with Washington unless what Tehran calls "U.S. breaches of commitments" are halted.
