The United States has begun a new round of airstrikes against Iranian targets in response to an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps attack on a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz earlier today. The strikes are aimed at Iran’s air defense systems, drone depots, cruise missile sites, targeting radars, naval mine‑sweeping capabilities, and ground‑to‑air missile systems.
A senior U.S. official also said that Iran targeted U.S. forces stationed in Bahrain last night, but U.S. and Bahraini forces successfully shot down nine Iranian suicide drones, reporting no damage or casualties.
