Images released from the Laghouat air base show that Algeria has become the first foreign customer for Russia's Su-34E fighter-bomber. Earlier, Algeria was also introduced as the first overseas buyer of the fifth‑generation Su-57E, and now, with both aircraft in its inventory, it will possess one of the most advanced combat fleets in Africa and the Arab world.
The Su-34E has a combat radius of over 1,100 km and an operational range of about 4,000 km, capable of carrying up to 12 tonnes of various munitions, including anti-ship missiles, long‑range air‑to‑air missiles, and guided bombs.
The simultaneous entry of the Su-34E and Su-57E into the Algerian Air Force will significantly boost the country's offensive and deterrent capabilities, affecting the air balance in North Africa.
