A shipping agency affiliated with the United Nations announced that following an attack on a vessel in the Gulf of Oman, the temporary evacuation plan for ships and sailors stranded in the Strait of Hormuz has been temporarily suspended.
The agency stated that the targeted vessel was not part of the UN evacuation program, and the evacuation plan for the Strait of Hormuz will remain on hold until more clarity about the region’s security situation is obtained.
