Donald Trump claimed that Iran has informed the United States that, contrary to reports from what he called "fake media," the country does not demand any fees, insurance costs, or other charges from vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. He warned that if the information proves false, negotiations would end immediately.

He also stated that no money has been paid by the United States to Iran and that none of Iran’s assets are directly held by the U.S. Trump said the U.S. would release a portion of Iranian assets under its control to pay American farmers and ranchers for corn, wheat, soy and other products, asserting that Iran urgently needs food supplies, which the U.S. would provide exclusively.
