Parliamentary deputy Zaheri addressed the recent cyberattack that disrupted Iran's banking infrastructure. He said a meeting was held with the Economy Minister, the Central Bank, and CEOs of four affected banks. The breach targeted the core services of these banks, which are provided by a state-affiliated informatics company that also handles the Shetab and Shaparak payment systems and in which the Central Bank holds a 46% stake. Despite investigations by multiple agencies, the origin and cause of the attack remain unknown, and even hardware replacement has not resolved the issue. Zaheri recalled that cyber power was once touted alongside military and nuclear capabilities as a key claim of the "sacred system."
