Syrian Airlines announced that it will restart direct services between Damascus and Amsterdam in early July, marking the carrier's first scheduled flight to the European Union since 2012. The airline said regulatory coordination is in its final stages and that the route targets the large Syrian diaspora in the Netherlands. Negotiations are also under way for additional European destinations, including Germany.
