At the Eurosatory 2026 defence exhibition in Paris, officials released specifications for Ukraine’s BARS RS cruise missile, which is reportedly being used in long‑range strikes against targets in Russia, including attacks on Moscow in May and June 2026. The BARS RS version is said to have a range of up to 1,000 km, a larger fuel tank, a heavier launch weight of 135 kg and a 22‑kg warhead, with a 95‑litre fuel capacity. The manufacturer also announced a family of BARS missiles with 22‑kg, 60‑kg and 105‑kg warheads, plus a heavier variant with a 220‑kg launch weight. According to the producer, the BARS series has been employed in roughly 7,000 tests and combat missions, cruising at 400‑450 km/h with a top speed around 620 km/h. Reports indicate that Germany is contributing financing for the production of this long‑range Ukrainian weapon.
