European defense firm MBDA said it has completed the first operational test of its new CROSSBOW system, a ground‑based, one‑time‑use munition designed for deep‑strike missions. The weapon, developed in just nine months, targets enemy command centres, ammunition depots, logistics hubs and other military infrastructure. MBDA claims CROSSBOW offers an effective yet cheaper alternative to advanced cruise missiles, enabling mass production and widespread use in high‑intensity conflicts.
