The U.S. Central Command denied reports that Iran had shut the Strait of Hormuz, confirming that merchant vessels are transiting the waterway with the support of the U.S. Navy. To date, 55 commercial ships and about 17 million barrels of oil have passed through. Centcom warned that Iran must fully comply with all aspects of the relevant agreement.
