Ukraine and NATO have announced a joint competition to develop technologies and weapons that can continuously disrupt Russia's use of its military air bases. The initiative seeks systems capable of targeting flight corridors, fuel and ammunition depots, aircraft and support infrastructure at Russian airfields, preventing normal operations. Organisers emphasize the need for autonomous, electronic‑warfare‑resistant, GPS‑independent solutions with artificial‑intelligence capabilities, with drones and drone swarms among the preferred concepts. The prize pool is set at up to €250,000, open to defence firms, startups and engineering teams from NATO member states and Ukraine.
