Hezbollah detonated an improvised explosive device as an Israeli force advanced, causing one of the vehicles to be completely destroyed. The attack marked the sixth unsuccessful attempt by the Israeli Defence Forces to seize Ali Al‑Taher hill in southern Nabatieh, a site that hosts a large Hezbollah stronghold with extensive underground tunnels and elevated firing positions.
