A newly configured VC-25B aircraft, intended to serve as a temporary replacement for the current Air Force One, has arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. The plane is a former Qatar‑owned Boeing 747‑8I that has undergone extensive modifications for U.S. presidential use. Existing VC-25A aircraft are based on the older 747‑200B platform. White House officials noted that the current VC-25A, tail number 92‑9000, made its last flight as Air Force One during former President Trump's trip to a G7 summit.
