The Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) said commercial vessels will be allowed to transit the Strait of Hormuz under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. Ships must submit passage requests at least 48 hours in advance to avoid delays. No fees will be charged for security, safety, or environmental services during the 60‑day period, and Iran will provide the insurance coverage required for the transit.
