The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council issued a statement announcing that Iran has finalized a memorandum of understanding with the United States regarding the end of hostilities. The agreement, reached after several months of intensive negotiations, calls for an immediate and permanent cessation of all military operations on every front, including Lebanon, and the complete termination of the naval blockade against Iran.
The memorandum will be formally signed on Friday, 29 Khordad (June 18). Final settlement talks will proceed after each side fulfills its obligations under the agreement. Iran expressed gratitude to Pakistan and Qatar for their mediation efforts.
