German defence contractor KNDS presented its new MARS 3 multi‑rocket launcher at the EuroSaturi 2026 exhibition. Built on an 8×8 truck chassis, the system is intended to replace the M270 and can fire a wide range of munitions, including guided rockets, NSM anti‑ship missiles and new long‑range missiles. It boasts an operational range of up to 300 km and features an onboard crane for autonomous reloads on the battlefield, with options for 250‑km NSM and roughly 500‑km JFSM missiles. The German Ministry of Defence is reviewing a framework contract for about 500 MARS 3 units, half for the German army and the remainder for allied forces.
