The Islamic Resistance Operations Room said Israeli forces have been attempting to advance toward the town of Kafr Tabnait and the Ali al‑Tahir area for four days, using heavy artillery and aerial reconnaissance. The group reported that its fighters repelled these moves with rockets, drones and anti‑tank missiles, inflicting significant losses on Israeli troops and equipment.

On Wednesday, June 17, at 08:00, the resistance said it intercepted an Israeli infantry force that had moved to the north‑eastern outskirts of Kafr Tabnait, striking them with a swarm of drones and loitering munitions, causing casualties. Later, at 01:50 on Thursday, June 18, the group claimed to have hit a Merkava tank near the crossing area, forcing the Israeli unit to withdraw.

The statement warned that Israeli forces remain positioned south of Kafr Tabnait toward the Arnon sector and vowed to continue defending the area.
