Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said Iran’s attack on the Kingdom and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states has eroded mutual trust. He noted that after the China‑mediated understanding and the start of a normalisation process, the region was on the brink of expanding economic cooperation, but the attack forced a retreat. Before any discussion on investment or partnership, he stressed the need to rebuild trust and dialogue, a concern shared by many GCC countries.
