IEA chief warns global economy could hit red zone if Hormuz stays closed

Fatih Birol, head of the International Energy Agency, said that if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed beyond the end of June, the world economy could slip into a "red zone". He stressed that the strait must be reopened unconditionally and that all parties need to consider it safe for navigation.
