Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, announced that the draft Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has likely already been sent to the presidents of Iran and the United States for signing. The agreement will be signed digitally, and any breach will carry increased penalties. While earlier plans considered having negotiating teams meet in Geneva or Brussels, the signing will take place electronically with no ceremony in Switzerland.
