Lockheed Martin showcased the new HIMARS FLEX rocket system at the EuroSatory 2026 exhibition. The upgraded platform features a dual‑launcher that doubles ammunition capacity, enabling it to carry two rockets or missiles simultaneously. In addition to offensive missions, HIMARS FLEX can fire defensive missiles such as the PAC‑3. While the standard HIMARS carries a single pod of six GMLRS rockets or one ATACMS, the FLEX version can engage more targets per sortie. The system is compatible with current NATO munitions, including GMLRS, ER‑GMLRS, ATACMS, and the long‑range PrSM, and can also employ PAC‑3 interceptors and IFPC ammunition to counter rockets, drones, and aircraft, offering users a versatile strike and mobile missile‑defence capability without altering existing supply chains.
